WALK WITH US TOWARD A NONVIOLENT FUTURE.
NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT: YES, WE CAN! IN OUR LIFETIME!
WELCOME to the organizing center for the April 2010 Walk for Nuclear Disarmament and Abolition from Washington, DC to New York, NY through Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We hope YOU — America's great mass of peace-loving people — will walk with, see, meet and greet us in Baltimore, Wilmington, Philadelphia, Camden, Princeton, and many points in between.
OUR OBJECTIVE: To mobilize grassroots support for nuclear disarmament towards a real solution at the UN 2010 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Review during May of 2010. We are pushing the United Nations, U.S. President Barack Obama and all countries of the world to deliver courageous leadership toward nuclear disarmament, on behalf of the overwhelming majority of United States and global citizens who want Earth to know "the peace of a world without nuclear weapons."

Our walk will depart Washington, DC on April 8, 2010, birthday of renowned international peace activist Paul Robeson. We will walk about 15 miles each day (some days more, some less) while holding events, meeting, eating and resting with supportive groups and individuals in cities and towns along the way, covering about 250 miles in 21 days.
We want to include MANY groups in this issue-based coalition. Students and youth, Seniors, Artists and Entertainers, Academics, Caregivers, Lovers of Peace and Justice, the Environment, Wisdom and Sanity — nuclear weapons are bad for ALL of us, and we hope you all will support the walk or even walk with us, whether for a mile, a hundred yards, or just a few steps.
This site is an organizing tool in development. You won't find flashy designs or graphics — just useful information, readily available. If you want to join this walk or otherwise support our cause — elimination of nuclear weapons by 2020 and conversion of the nuclear weapons economy ($50 Billion/year!) to a sustainable peace economy — then this is the place for you!
We hope you will join us.
